I’m David Smith, a passionate artist who finds inspiration in capturing the beautiful skies and countryside around me. I lived in the UK and moved to Nova Scotia 20 years ago with my family. I have created many of my paintings from photos I took while living in Devon, UK. I now live near Peggy’s Cove and that has opened up more opportunities to paint local coastal landscapes. I use acrylic paints on stretched or canvas boards. I also make my own mouldings from natural pine to create frames for my paintings. I have started to overflow the paintings from the boards to the frame to create a very unique picture.
