Paint Peggy’s Cove 2026
Thank you to everyone that brought my paintings this weekend. It was a wonderful weekend even with Friday’s thunderstorm! A huge thank you to all the amazing volunteers on the day from Peggy’s Cove Festival of the Arts. As per last year it was so good to meet so many lovely people from all over the world.

I tried something new!
Painting quickly with acrylics on the fly is not too bad but I wanted to have something that I could do even more quickly, like during my hour lunch break. So I tried coloured pencils and was very happy with the results. I love the detail you can get and with colour!

Plein Art, Peggy’s Cove – Day 7
I braved the ‘Frost Alert’ and wore thermals! Coldest yet and windy. Had to wear gloves at the start. Beautiful day though and glad I did it. The last day of Plein Art this year and I made 6 out of the 7 days. Finished 4 paintings and started new one.

Plein Art, Peggy’s Cove – Day 5
….and might be the last. 6 Degrees this morning! Painting with a pallet knife was pretty disastrous and not for me. Beautiful day again but cold.
