This painting was from a photo taken when we noticed a frog on our daffodils. It had been raining so the daffodils where also covered with water droplets. This acrylic painting is on a 14” x 11″ stretched canvas board.

Bluenose at Peggy’s Cove
This painting started with the sky, as many of my paintings. I wanted a night sky where the light reflects under the clouds rather than on top. Then I was stuck for what to paint under the sky. I took a photo of the Bluenose while on a whale watching trip and decided to paint that and Peggy’s Cove in the distance. There is literally only one place where you can see the light house close up, across the sea and be standing on land – it’s at the Whales Back. This acrylic painting is on a 16” x 12” canvas board. Peggy’s Cove Dock
Peggy’s Cove has to be one of the most beautiful spots in Nova Scotia. The originalphotograph is unknown. We brought three stretch canvas’s and this was one ofthem so, I decided to paint it. This acrylic painting is on a 16” x 12” stretched canvas and was one of my firstpaintings in 2022. The colors of the buildings in Peggy’s Cove make for a greatpainting. I framed the canvas with a pine 1” frame stained with linseed oil.
