I tried something new!
Painting quickly with acrylics on the fly is not too bad but I wanted to have something that I could do even more quickly, like during my hour lunch break. So I tried coloured pencils and was very happy with the results. I love the detail you can get and with colour!

Plein Art, Peggy’s Cove – Day 7
I braved the ‘Frost Alert’ and wore thermals! Coldest yet and windy. Had to wear gloves at the start. Beautiful day though and glad I did it. The last day of Plein Art this year and I made 6 out of the 7 days. Finished 4 paintings and started new one.

Plein Art, Peggy’s Cove – Day 6
shhhhh…..I stayed in bed…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Plein Art, Peggy’s Cove – Day 5
….and might be the last. 6 Degrees this morning! Painting with a pallet knife was pretty disastrous and not for me. Beautiful day again but cold.

Plein Art, Peggy’s Cove – Day 4
A little cloudy today and Peggy’s Cove was packed. 5 Cruise ships in Halifax! Finished one painting. Going to be bold and paint with only a knife tomorrow – could be interesting!

Plein Art, Peggy’s Cove – Day 3
Beautiful day today but got windy so had to leave early. Need to design a screen to help when windy as the canvas board acts like a sail!
-
Plein Art, Peggy’s Cove – Day 2
A bit gloomy for the second day and eaten alive by mosquitos!

Plein Art, Peggy’s Cove – Day 1
Beautiful day, clear sky’s and no wind. Perfect for Plein Art. Started a new canvas and my light weight paint container worked well.
